Update failure: The package could not be installed

    Hi there,

    I have a problem across a number of sites – it looks as if the UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore Update has a problem. As in the title of this query.

    I cannot be the only one with this happening as it is across a number of different sites of mine.

    Can you download and install a fresh copy from the WordPress repsitory (apologies, I do realise this is not ideal)

    Same problem here with the plus version. It’s installed on 300+ sites!

    I worked on one of my sites yesterday but just checked again this morning (11th Nov) and it is still not updating on others.
    If I remove and reinstall – as is being suggested – will I lose the most current backups?

    You will not loose any backups by reinstalling the plugin
