• Hello,
Our install has auto-updated but we have the following message:

An automated WordPress update has failed to complete! Please notify the site administrator.

A quick Google shows the common solution for this is to delete the .maintenance file> I do not appear to have that file (Im using Windows server 2008 R2 and I have “View hidden Files and folders” switched on.

Version number on bottom right shows I Have updated however would like rid of this message.

    Any suggestions ?

    Thanks

  • It might be best to try and perform a Manual Update. This will make sure all core files are at the latest version.

    Thank you for your response.

    My sincere apologies !
I should have stated that I have gone through the manual update and still see the error message, which is why I’m a little stumped….

Other steps include using the update.php page and the upgrade.php page
They all seemed to be doing something…but when I log in, the error message persists…
