  • I am having a different error with the Events Calendar plug-in.

About four hours ago, I saw an update to the plug-in was available and installed it.

It appeared to successfully install, but (a) all of my events are now missing; (b) the plug-in no longer appears as an installed plug-in on the Plug-Ins page; (c) when I attempt to reinstall the Events Calendar plug-in (https://capic.net/wp-admin/plugin-install.php?s=calendar+events&tab=search&type=term) it fails, and I receive the following message: “Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.”

No error message appeared. The events are simply gone.

Thanks in advance for your help in fixing this problem — without losing my existing events.

    I deleted the folder

    wordpress/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar

reinstalled the plugin with wordpress and all returned normal without losing any event

    Hi @kiwihawk,

Sorry to hear you’ve hit up against problems.

Can you tell me who you are hosting your site with? We could certainly investigate alternative approaches in our code, though I’m not really sure why the data stream wrapper would be disabled (in the case of most hosting environments, it is not). Perhaps your web host could remedy this?

@capic: sorry to hear you too are experiencing problems – but if as you state it is a different error entirely it would be best to create a new support topic of your own.

    Thanks!
