Appreciate the work you put in to this plugin, I’m running it on two sites. But, both sites now have the same problem after doing the update.

EVERY single event entry is now duplicated, so they appear twice. Do I have to delete them manually?

If it helps to know…. it looks like all the duplicates don’t have an event type.

In an effort to help troubleshoot a bit, I’ve been playing around.

If I enter a new event, that also shows twice. There’s one in the categorized section, and then one in the non-categorized section. Deleting one from the plugin’s database deletes both.

Not immediately sure why this would happen and it’s not been an issue for me. Is this using the shortcode or widget or on the admin screen. You might need to re-save the widget because there are new options and this might be causing problems.

The page is displaying via the shortcode, but the duplicates actually show up in on the backend admin screen as well.

So the shortcode events are also shown duplicated?

I don’t see how this can happen tbh (obviously I don’t have this issue myself). Do you have any special plugins or theme caching features?

I’m assuming that there are no errors shown.

Correct. This page is one of the places I use this plugin. You can see it shows them in an “uncategorized” space at the top, and then under the “Events” category at the bottom.

On the backend in the database, all events are listed twice. Once as the way I created them with a category, and then once without. Deleting one wipes both out.

I do use WP Super Cache. I emptied the cache. Didn’t fix it.

Correct, no errors are displayed outside of the duplicates.

So you checked in the database and there are two entries for each event in the wp_posts table? From what you’ve said this shouldn’t be the case. What database version are you using?

Do you use an event type of “Event”?

Can you send me an image of the admin screen showing the events?

I thought of sending a screenshot, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to do it here.

I do use “Event” as an event type.

Admittedly, I may be using the wrong term by “database”. I was referring to the collection of events that I entered within the plugin itself.

Interested in logging in to the site for yourself? I’d share credentials if it would help you out.

That might be fastest if you are happy with it (email me bc at brokencrust dot com) – if not that’s fine email be a screenshot.
