Updated a few plugins and my website crashed – when i turn off CPT UI, it goes back to normal with some slight issues – woocommerce order section stating “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

The header of the website is not fully disappearing upon scrolling down.

I have used this plugin since the inception of my website and have just had this issue now. I was considering if there is a compatibility issue with this plugin and one of the other plugins i have but am unable to tell.

Any advice or guidance will be appreciated greatly.

Not sure what to tell you here at this point.

Nothing changed with Custom Post Type UI, code-wise, as it wasn’t one of the updated items, and all of the errors provided never pointed to anything regarding CPTUI either. Not sure if you changed any content type settings, but I’m doubtful as most things on that front are set once and generally put out of mind.

Something funky is definitely going on overall, I’m not going to try to deny you that. But I have nothing I can identify needing to do from the perspective of our code and plugin.

Something to consider, if possible would be to roll the updated plugins back to the previous versions and see if everything falls back into place again, with CPTUI active still, and then try re-updating them one by one, checking things out after each, until the issue(s) potentially return. If lucky, perhaps they’d all get re-updated and the site in the state we’re ideally wanting, and things not breaking again. One can only hope.

Yeah completely understand as I’ve not updated or changed anything in the CPTUI settings however this error only comes on when the plugin CPTUI is activated:

Warning: The magic method Vc_Manager::__wakeup() must have public visibility in /customers/7/8/1/wejustraffle.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/classes/core/class-vc-manager.php on line 203 Deprecated: Required parameter $width follows optional parameter $attach_id in /customers/7/8/1/wejustraffle.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/helpers/helpers.php on line 366 Deprecated: Required parameter $height follows optional parameter $attach_id in /customers/7/8/1/wejustraffle.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/helpers/helpers.php on line 366 Deprecated: Required parameter $message follows optional parameter $notice_type in /customers/7/8/1/wejustraffle.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/easy-login-woocommerce/includes/xoo-el-functions.php on line 82 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /customers/7/8/1/wejustraffle.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/classes/core/class-vc-manager.php:203) in /customers/7/8/1/wejustraffle.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6584 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /customers/7/8/1/wejustraffle.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/classes/core/class-vc-manager.php:203) in /customers/7/8/1/wejustraffle.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-admin/includes/misc.php on line 1310 Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /customers/7/8/1/wejustraffle.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/classes/core/class-vc-manager.php:203) in /customers/7/8/1/wejustraffle.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-admin/admin-header.php on line 9 Warning: Trying to access array offset on value of type bool in /customers/7/8/1/wejustraffle.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-content/themes/Impreza/common/admin/functions/functions.php on line 102

The only part which is already there when the CPTUI plugin is off is the final part:

Warning: Trying to access array offset on value of type bool in /customers/7/8/1/wejustraffle.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-content/themes/Impreza/common/admin/functions/functions.php on line 102`

If you manage to figure out the problem this would be greatly appreciated – seems to be PHP issue from what I’ve read online but will continue to try resolve it.

I would need to have admin/server access to the site in question for me to work on anything with this, since as is there’s zero indication of anything with CPTUI other than some stuff happens when it’s active.

Throwing some ideas out there, but perhaps use the Tools menu item to grab the blobs of content on the right hand side of both the post types and the taxonomies tab, copy/paste the content and save it somewhere. This would back up your CPTUI settings, but not lose you any of the content created in them.

Then do an import of {""} on both post type and taxonomy tab to clear out the settings. I’m doubtful it’s part of the issue, but perhaps settings for any content types are somehow playing their part here.

You’d be able to re-import everything to match what there was, afterwards. By all means back up the site as you see fit before trying this as well.

    Hey Michael,

Many thanks for your support during this time.

I have managed to fix the website (don’t know what the exact issue was) through implementing some changes on PHP version along with the functions.php folder. Think it was more a theme issue than CPTUI but I would like to thank you greatly for your continuos support throughout this period.

Is there any way in particular I can show appreciation for your help? I would love to leave a very good review if this helps.

    Interesting.

Not a problem on the continued support, it’s what I’m here for.

    Reviews are always welcome.

    Thanks again.
