Update caused my site to crash

With the new update on Nov 28th, my site crashed and locked me out of wpadmin. My hosting provider had to go into my site, determine which plug in was causing the problem and deactivate it. Once this plug in was deactivated, I could finally I could access my website. I posted a question in support asking if it was truly fixed as my hosting provider told me not to activate it until a fix was confirmed by the author. They closed the post as resolved without responding to my question. I’m now searching for another social media plug in as I don’t trust this won’t happen again upon activation or future update.
