Update Caused Critical Error

  • As mentioned, update 1.6.30 is currently causing a critical error that prevents the plug-in from loading properly, which crashes your site.

    Info:

    An error of type E_COMPILE_ERROR was caused in line 16 of the file /srv/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/header-footer-elementor/inc/lib/svg-sanitizer/src/sanitizer.php
    Error message: Cannot declare class
    enshrined/svgSanitize/Sanitizer, because the name is already in use

    Looking forward to updating this review back to 5 stars when fixed, because it’s otherwise a great plug-in!

    As I read in another 1 star review here, even 1.6.31 causes fatal errors. How about you scrap everything you just did after the working 1.6.28 and restart from there.

    It appears the recent update must have came with SVG support, however if you happen to already have a plugin called “svg-support”, you’ll want to go into file manager (if you have cPanel), go to wp-content/plugins/svg-support and simply rename it to svg-support-back (or whatever you want). That will disable the plugin and the site will become available.

    This fixed the problem for me

    We tested plugin version 1.6.31 with the svg-support plugin deactivated, but the result was that svg images failed to load.
