update categories not showing issue

  • the issue i posted before about not being able to pull certain categories into an external plugin does appear to be a bug with this plugin.

    i’m also unable to view photos i have listed in new categories in the wordpress default media library. in this link you can see thhe photos simply dont show up: https://imgur.com/SFsCk9D

    surprisingly the ‘featured’ category is finding and showing photos when used with the external plugin to pull photos into my page. it was other categories that were showing as empty.

    I think it is related to the extra column “Image Optimizer” which is showing in your media library. Which plugin created this column? Maybe that plugin creates new (optimized) images, and these new created images are not added to a category. I’d like to test that plugin, so I maybe can find a solution.

    thanks very much for looking into that, i didnt realise there was an extra category.

    related plugins which could be at fault are:
    EWWW Image Optimizer (likely)
    Shashin
    WP Super Cache

    i’ll try turning off EWWW and see whether the issue is solved

    i deactivated all plugins except for your and Shortcodes Ultimate (which i’m using to pull the category into our pages), and it was still only showing the 1st 2 photos.

    perhaps the extra category remained and interfered after the plugin was turned off?

    forgot to mention, the search for photos in a categories option in the media centre is also broken, presumably related. so i’m not able to edit the photos in a category.

    I’m sorry but I can’t reproduce the problem. I’ve tested on a freshly installed WordPress 4.2.3 with the latest versions of Media Library Categories, EWWW Image Optimizer, Shasin, Shortcodes Ultimate, WP Super Cache.
