update cart and apply coupon button not working

  • Hi,

    I recently updated wordpress and all plugins and now nothing happens when I click on apply coupon and it does not work.

    Same case is with update cart. if I make any change in cart and click update cart button; nothing happens.

    I am quite novice to coding and tried all possible options that I could think of and nothing helped. I am losing it.

    Please help.

    Hello,

    Either your theme or another plugin is likely causing this conflict.

    Try temporarily switching back to the WordPress Twenty Sixteen Theme, or Storefront, and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. If that resolves the issue, then slowly re-enable features until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.

    I tried switching to twenty sixteen theme and did what you said; all worked nicely.

    Then I changed back to original blanco theme. It still does not work. I also notice that any button in that specific area does not work including ‘checkout’ button. (There are three buttons in that area)

    I am really confused what to do…

    Please help.

    See if the developer has released a 2.6 compatible update for blanco

    Yeah, I think your template files might be out of date. If you can’t update them, you might want to just move them out of your theme folder.

    Wow thank you all SO much for pointing me in this direction! After a mind-numbing waste of time digging through code and reading everything I could find, I quickly found the exact problem keeping my cart from updating thanks to this thread. Turns out it was my beloved old theme getting in the way –?thank you again for pointing me in this direction! An important lesson learned for me.
