Update Button Disappeared

    The ‘Update’ button has disappeared from my WordPress v.5.9.3.

    If I edit a page, no blue update button appears on the right for me to update the page.

    All used to be fine until I tried to password-protect a page using the Password Protect WordPress Lite plugin. After I did so, the Update button disappeared.

    If I remove the password, nothing changes.

    I can no-longer update any of my wordpress pages. I have tried refreshing browser cache, restoring to previously-saved page version and restarting my computer – all to no avail.

    Any suggestions folks?

    Mea culpa, ‘Publish’ section had closed (after opening Password Protect WordPress Lite section) hiding that button.

    Sorry. – Hope this helps anyone else to whom this happens.

    All seems OK now.
