Installed the latest update today (2.7). When trying to upload a PNG, the process locks up about 1/4 way through the upload. Deactivated the plugin, PNG uploaded with no issues.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @mshingledecker,

Sorry, I cannot reproduce the issue. Can you please clean up your browser cache and try again? If this does not help please let me know if there is any error in the browser’s console.

    Best,
    -Nadia

Same by us. Clean cache not worked. The WP Uploader works fine.
Next bug, with active Plugin, no image can be placed in Page. Turn off the Plugin and all works fine.

The right Sidebar is also broken

    Error in Console:
“Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘$el’ of undefined”

    Hi guys,

    1) Does anyone use the plugin called WP Smush It along with EML?

    2) Please try to deactivate other media plugins one by one. It’s a compatibility issue most likely. We found an issue in our code and the update will be released soon, but it’s also an issue of the WP Smush It plugin. There could be others we are not aware of.

    Best,
    -Nadia

Yes, we use WP Smush. When I disable Smush, it works without problems.

So we wait for an update. Can you give us the older version until there is an update?

    Thank you

I use WP Smush as well.

Can confirm that the update I installed this morning broke the upload and crop function. I also use Smush but disabling EML (since it was the only update I installed today) fixed the issue. Am also seeing the error:

“Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘$el’ of undefined”

    Thanks.

    Hi @webbistro,

Could you please share what was the fix so we can also patch it up in Smush?

    Best regards,
    Anton

Same problema here! can’t upload images to my website…

    Hi all,

The update for EML is available. A part of this bug is fixed, but it’s not enough for Smush compatibility.

As for the Smush, I described the issue to its author (Anton and @mshingledecker, thank you for your quick reaction, guys).

For anyone in a hurry, you can add a.prototype.initialize.apply(this, arguments); to \wp-smushit\assets\js\media.min.js right after n.view.Attachment.Details=a.extend({initialize:function(){ code. It’s a unique character sequence in this file.

    Hi there again,

We created a version that can work with the current Smush code, but we need more time to test it. It will be available soon.

Notice: upload works in v2.7.1 when Smush is active, but there are other glitches in the media library.

That said, it would be nice to get Smush code updated as well, since we are working to extend EML’s functionality, and will not be able to work around this problem endlessly.

    Best,
    -Nadia

    @webbistro,

We’ll test it out and try to push the update with the next version as well

    Best regards,
    Anton

    Hi everyone,

EML v2.7.2 works with the current version of Smush, no need to change the code anymore.

    Best,
    -Nadia
