Update broke my blog!

    For weeks now I’ve been putting off the update, today I decided to do it. I downloaded the zip file, copied the contents onto my desktop (unzipping it), and then copied the files to my website using M$ Expression Web. Hit publish and now all my blog page says is Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in /home/shawmutt/public_html/mikesblog/wp-includes/formatting.php on line 104

    Please help!

    Just an update–I did a full backup of my databases, deleted all the blog files on my site, and reinstalled them. I also downloaded the files separately 3 times.

    I still have the same error.

    I fixed it. I just wound up deleting everything including my database on my host, using my host’s built in WordPress installer (I did it by hand previously), and uploading my backed-up database.

    And next time use a normal FTP client to upload your files.
