    Update News

I updated the theme this morning and the menu no longer appears on mobile screen sizes. Their update log says “[changed] implementation of menu icons for mobile navigation”. I’ve gone over CSS, functions.php, and a few other pages, but I can’t figure out why it’s broken. Because they only offer support to paid users, it seems they’re trying to get people to sign up. I may have to switch themes now, after doing a lot of work to make this one look how I want it to. ??

    Hi there,

First of all please note that the update page is about the PRO version, and not Dynamic News lite.

We are certainly not introducing bugs to our themes to get people to sign up, I can assure you. The menu update was tested thouroughly and should not cause any issues.

Before the update the HTML of the mobile menu icon was added with Javascript only. Since this implementation had some flaws we have added the HTML code now directly in header.php

I guess the menu issue might appear on your website because you are using a child theme and overriding some template files (most likely header.php) which does not work well anymore with the new theme update.

    Best,
    Thomas
