Update breaks home page

    Version 4.3.7 breaks the homepage of my child theme. Pretty much all “Guardian Options” menu items are there but they don’t do anything and the page just displays the empty “Home” webpage. I tried Version 4.2.5 and it does keep the homepage options except the “Excerpt Option” is meaningless as each blog excerpt shows the entire post. I’ve had to roll back to 4.0 to keep the home page looking like it’s supposed to. Any help would be appreciated.

    We have made some major corrections with new update ( 4.3.6) , So kindly go through the Appearance > About Guardian And follow the setup instructions.

    Do I not see “About Guardian” in 4.0 because I’m using a child theme or am I just blind?

    Hello,

    Kindly follow these steps.

    1. Create a New-Page Name it > Home
    2. Assigned Template – Home to previously created page, publish It.
    3. Go to Appearance -> Customize > Homepage Settings -> select A static page option. 4.Select Page which is created in last step3

    Save changes

    This will regain your (Old) HOME page to the site.

    Note – The key step was to assign template named “Home Template” to whatever page was chosen as “Front Page”
