Update breaks all styling
-
This page looks fine, but if the essential addons plugin is updated to the latest version, the entire thing turns into a single “text editor” block on max-width with none of the stylings, can provide a link with htpassword credentials to this page if needed.
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi, there. I am glad to know your issue is solved now. May I know how your issue was resolved though? Was it cache issue from your end?
Thank you for providing us with so much detailed report. I haven’t actually tested with so many caching tools at the same time from my end. So, it was very difficult to reproduce. Regardless, we have actually made some changes in our Caching system and it will be released in the next update. Hopefully, it will improve things even more.
I am just glad that your issue is now resolved. Have a nice day!
@rafinkhan: I think @liliorg ment that the issue was solved by going back to 3.4.0, an older version of the plugin. That is exactly what I did. The site works correct, but of course that is not a real solution to the problem. A bit later our provider settings started an automatic update of the EAfE plugin, which caused the same problem again, so I had to re-install the old back-up and turn off the automatic updates, to prevent our site getting damaged again. Not ideal. I hope that a REAL solution will be found in a new update.
Does the new Update added the Timestamp as querystring to Cache File or does you renamed the Cache Files with Timestamp in name??
Thats important… maybe this is not the complete solution, but its an important first way for people wich uses Browser Cache.
I can tell you the Problem again:
1. You have a normal Site with Cache File like https://mydomain.com/wp-content/uploads/essential-addons-elementor/eael-post-64.min.js?ver=3.4.0
2. You edit this site… so the Cache File is changed also… BUT the File Name is the same.
-> So when some people uses Browser Cache the Browser say “Ohh… i dont need to download this File because its in my Cache”… BUT he has do download it because this File has changed. Also please do the first step an change this…
Maybe like this: …/eael-post-64.min.js?ver=3.4.0-20191106-1130 (date and time)
or maybe like this: …/eael-post-64-20191106-1130.min.js?ver=3.4.0
After every Flush Cache the Webbrowser can see… “Ohh… there is a new file that i have to download”.
I hope this was clear and direct enough!
Sorry but i opend so much tickets and i also sad that i can install for you a demo on my Server for testing…. no answers from you.
Hello, yes it’s exactly that, you’re right, thank you.
(maybe I don’t speak english well enough, I am really sorry for that)The problem is not really solved, I just installed an old backup and the plugin is not up to date. Actually 3.4.0.
I tried to clear the plugin cache, but it didn’t fix the problem. (plugin>settings>tools>clear cache)
I’m waiting the next update.
I am novice so I can’t do anything else, I’m afraid to ruin all my shop (and many hours of work) if I try something else.If it can help, I can do a list of all my plugins/theme and people will be able to see if we have a similar plugins or theme installed, which can cause a conflict. Just an idea.
Good luck, have a nice day

@liliorg @tkwpweb @liliorg @dvtadmin @surewisemike,
Hey, guys. We have figured out the root cause of this issue and have solved it from our end. We are preparing a new release within a couple of days. In the meantime, if you guys want the development version of this, you can email us here: [email protected]
Thank you
Sounds good… did you also fixed the Browser Cache Problem with FIle Name? Looks like you are not interested by this Problem. I also opened ticket… no answer from you.
We are very much interested in this Caching matter actually. The new caching mechanism has been implemented in this dev version as well. Since our office is closed right now, I am unable to give you more details about this. But if you want, you can check out the dev version to see how it’s working and let us know the feedback. Here’s the link to GitHub and the branch you need: https://github.com/rupok/essential-addons-for-elementor-lite/tree/sabuz-dev
Actually, it was after seeing your feedback, we decided to work on the Caching tool itself. Regardless, thank you for your suggestions.

At the moment i am really busy with my Hosting Company. But when you add a timestamp in Filename or Querystring… that would be work fine with Browser Cache.
But if you always use the same File name or Querystring… then not.
@rafinkhan thank you very much for the news, have a nice day ??
@rafinkhan Thanks! Please let us know when you think you solved it. I do love Elementor and the extra plugins like EAfE, but of course it is frustrating when an update destroys a business website partially. This 3.5.1 bug has cost me many late evening hours of work, and I had to go back to an older back-up, which ment loosing some changes, twice actually.
Good news, I ‘ll wait the next version. @liliorg exactly same issue, And I solved it by the same action.
regards,
SylvainSame issue here. I rebuilt the affected areas but also want to know when this is resolved. Thank you. I hate to say that I am considering removing the plugin and using something else. It is installed on several sites and I’m very concerned. I’m delaying updates and that isn’t good.
@maggieymae @canonbis @dvtadmin @liliorg @tkwpweb,
Hey, guys. We have released a new version of EA Free 3.5.2 today. Can you please update now? Make sure to go to the revision page (if you have the Elementor Text Block error), then update the page. You can then clear cache from wp-admin -> Essential Addons -> Tools -> Regenerate CSS.
It should be working fine. Let me know how it goes. Thank you.
Thank you very much, @rafinkhan. I will try to upgrade and test it later this week, and I will let you know.
Worked for me!
