This plugin is almost what I need! It works beautifully, but here’s my issue: my home page loops in a custom post type. When a new post is posted, I need the homepage to refresh, not the post itself.

I can add in a meta box to the cpt pages, but I need some help working out how to include a button that would force-refresh the homepage (so that the site owner can post & click to refresh from that post, rather than having to remember to go to the homepage and refresh it there).

Is that possible? No worries if this not something you support.

    Howdy!

Thanks for the message. If you’re displaying posts on a homepage, are you able to do the force refresh on the homepage itself?

Technically, yes, but for the person managing the site, they’ll be posting a post and it’s an extra step to remember to go and find the homepage and refresh it there. It would just be more user-friendly if I could get it on the post page.

Again, I understand this is customized work that isn’t relevant to most users, I understand if there isn’t an answer for this!

Gotcha. Regrettably, that specific case would be outside of the scope of this plugin. That type of functionality would require that page/post not only be aware of when it was requested to refresh, but also any nested posts inside of the loop. That type of awareness at a larger scale is something that’s not currently supported.
