update all permalinks after title change

  • Hi,

    I recently changed a lot of my titles and didn’t know until now that I could have simply deleted the permalink after which it would have updated to the new title.

    Is there a way that I can update all my permalinks that have changed titles?

    The search engines are finding my sites without any problem but are showing the old address and the new title which isn’t very elegant.

    Having this problem on some posts now.

    Go go Admin Dashboard>Settings>Permalinks.Save the custom permalink sturcture

    /%postname%/

    (Even if it’s listed there this will update the permalinks and if many posts/pages give it time to finish the task)

    Then go to your SEO tools such as Google Webmaster Tools and Google Analytics and have them re-index your site…

    To review all site links and create a sitemap, I suggest xml-sitemaps.com or use the tools @ Google

    As all other engines follow them, it will just be a matter of time until they also show your site listed properly.

    I entered /%postname%/ even though it was already there and updated.

    Google indexed the site today https://i40.tinypic.com/vdq11.jpg

    but maybe I’ll need to ask for it to be done again?

    I downloaded this plug-in which looks good but I didn’t find it very user friendly.

    But then, I’m only and egg, when it comes to technology ??

    I deleted a URL because of abuse but I’m still getting searches on it and 404s

    How can I stop the 404’s and be done with the freeloaders forever?
