Update 4.7.1 failed to complete

  • I have a message saying update failed – An automated WordPress update has failed to complete!

    In the email I got sent, it says it is trying to update to version 4.7.1

  • It can be due to php limits like max execution time etc. Have you try to update again?
    I usually create stage environment, test my updates on stage then do on live or push from stage to live environment. But staging need to be supported on your hosting. I use closte.com as they also have safe backups before upgrade.

    I have automatic updates. It’s not allowing the update.
