WPGlobus does not create its own tables or modify the existing, so you can update the files. It only changes the content by combining several translations into one string of text. So, you do not need to update the database because of WPGlobus.
Please do not forget, however, that everything in WordPress is linked together. We update our plugins not “just for fun” but because there are changes in WordPress, WooCommerce, other plugins, themes and so on. And even if we do not require database changes, other plugins and WordPress itself may. It is not an easy job to track all those changes. We try to follow these rules: a) have a test/staging environment where we try upgrades before doing them on a production server; b) upgrade everything at once and not partially and c) upgrade regularly and not jump from version “5” to version “10”.
Thank you!
