Though the update to 3.0.2 doesn’t break the functionality, like 3.0.1 did, it certainly breaks the design of the menu. It retains old settings, but there are new settings, (menu item hover background and active background) which, rather than being unset, are set to red. I don’t happen to have a single site in the 40+ that have this menu that won’t need to immediately have that fixed.
Further, if you’re bringing in the menu from the top, it no longer is the width of the screen, even if you set it at 100%. So it slides down the side from the top, which just looks weird.
These are all fixable by digging into the CSS, but none of these fixes should be necessary. If I update, I’ll waste a few hours getting the 40+ sites just back to where they were.
I’m off to look for a replacement, rather than updating. This plugin no longer meets my needs, and I no longer trust the developers, who either have no understanding or don’t care about how changes they make affect people who use their plugin.
