Latest update has broken a basic browser function. If you try to select text in snippet (or any text on any page) I cannot select, and menu is launched (regardless of window size).

    This is horrible!

Even worse, on some sites, the menu no longer displays at all. On those it does display on, the colors of the menu are changed.

Looks to me like latest update 3.0.1 is completely botched.

We are already on it and will release shortly.

Saving settings did not fix the problem. I re-installed the previous version on all 40 sites I manage that use the plugin.

I’ll be looking for a new solution rather than updating.

    Hello Ray,

Saving settings will fix the problem with notices. The issue is something related to a jquery script we are using and we are in the process of modifying it and it will be resolved.

Can you please let me a site url where you see the colors are changed from what is set on admin and menu doesn’t display?

    Regards

I replaced the update with previous version of the plugin on all affected sites. Sorry, no examples to show you at this time.

It’s okay. We are working on releasing a fix in few hours.

I’m glad to see others have found this problem and a fix is coming.

However, do the developers realize how many hours of detective work and site testing were consumed by individual users who a) detected the issue b) isolated it to WPR?

We can’t afford to waste our time this way.

In future, WPR, please do not release code that is not ready for prime time!

    Hello @raygulick @bobjones,

You can update to 3.0.2 and it should work perfectly fine.

    Regards

    I’ve updated to 3.0.2.

The responsive menu no longer opens when I tap the mobile menu icon. The icon just turns into an “X”.

    Swipe doesn’t work, either.

    Hello @bobjones,

Not sure why you are having those issues. We have already tested across all the platforms and OS and it works fine.

Can you try to clear cache and try? Also, if you can share the site url so that we can check then it would help to understand the issue.

You can mail the details on [email protected]

    Regards

Menu is working now. Clearing the cache may have done the trick.

Thanks very much for the update! I appreciate your quick attention to the matter.

Though the update to 3.0.2 doesn’t break the functionality, like 3.0.1 did, it certainly breaks the design of the menu. It retains old settings, but there are new settings, (menu item hover background and active background) which, rather than being unset, are set to red. I don’t happen to have a single site in the 40+ that have this menu that won’t need to immediately have that fixed.

Further, if you’re bringing in the menu from the top, it no longer is the width of the screen, even if you set it at 100%. So it slides down the side from the top, which just looks weird.

These are all fixable by digging into the CSS, but none of these fixes should be necessary. If I update, I’ll waste a few hours getting the 40+ sites just back to where they were.

I’m off to look for a replacement, rather than updating. This plugin no longer meets my needs, and I no longer trust the developers, who either have no understanding or don’t care about how changes they make affect people who use their plugin.

There is an option to set the max width for the menu. So even if you set it 100% it won’t cross the max-width value. It’s done to have a better control when you see the menu on tablets.

Really sorry for the problem but even if you look for another replacement then also it will take you to do things on 40 different sites.

That red is set as a default hover color on menu items. I do think that it might cause issue for someone managing large number of sites like you. We will definitely think about changing it over to bring in all the default settings from the earlier version.

    Regards
