Update

  • Hi All,

    I am using WordPress 4.5.3 and the theme Himalayas 1.0.6.

    I would like to translate the “READ MORE” button into a German text. I have tried the following:

    (1) Translated the READ MORE text by means of Loco Translate w/o success.
    (2) Tried a child theme and modified the copied .php files (w/o success)
    a) /content.php
    b) /inc/header-functions.php
    c) /inc/widgets/widgets.php
    (3) Although this is not best practice I changed the original files above and was successful.

    Any ideas how to change the READ MORE text so that updates of the theme won’t override my changes.

    Any help is appreciated very much.
