I’m new to wordpress, I’ve never updated a theme. I’m nervous about updating the theme, I won’t lose anything I’ve worked on will I?

    Thanks.

    What did you change?

Oh gosh, as far as the editor goes? Or stuff in the pages, posts. etc.? I’m currently trying to remove the page title, but it’s not working for me. Here’s my site: https://www.digitalmusicworkshop.com.

I’m trying to get my site without a sidebar too and my developer did something to remove it, but I’m not sure exactly how he did it.

I have made changes in the layout builder on pages, etc. but I don’t think I’ve changed anything other than that.

As long as you haven’t made edits to the theme’s files (in Appearance > Editor) then you’re fine.

Remember to backup your site before any update, just in case something do change.

    Maybe this hepls: WordPress Backups

If you are familiar with FTP and WordPress structure, you could download a copy of the theme files.

Maybe your host provider offers backups or is already doing it.

And there are several plugins that will help with backups (Example: updraftplus)

    I hope it helped!
