    Hi all,
Long time no posting in the forum.
I have updated several sites from 2.0.5 and 2.3.3 to 3.0.4 without a glitch. Thanks developers!
However there is one site that displays in the Dashboard:
You are using WordPress 3.0.4. (Update to 3.0.4) <- this is a button. And on top of every admin page: WordPress 3.0.4 is available! Please update now.

    version.php is okay.

    Any help?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    – re-running the upgrade manually using /wp-admin/upgrade.php?

    Hi,
    Thanks esmi for you reply.
Found the problem. I’m travelling in South America. WP checks the IP address I’m using and assumes I need to update to version 3.0.4 IN SPANISH! I hate the IP address recognition! Fortunatelly there is an option to ignore the update advice and clicking in the sign vanishes.
