In the old 0.7.3.1 version of the Google Calendar Events plugin, it was possible to configure your feeds to show events from today until say today + 7 days. I don’t see such an option in the new 2.0 version anymore.

I used this feature to show a list of upcoming events in the next 7 days. Can you add this feature again please?

    Thanks.

Under “Retrieve Events Until/From” there is an option to add in a “Specific Date”. Is that the option you are looking for?

I too am having a similar issue as my website offered lists of ‘Today’s Activities’ and ‘Tomorrow’s Activities’ and I am unable to see how I can do this is the new updated plugin. Is there a new, modified way of achieving this or do I need to downgrade back to the old version which did all of this just fine?

    Thanks

Have you tried using the method I mentioned in my previous post?

Thanks for the great plugin. In Google Calendar Events version 0.7.3.1, a positive and negative offset could be specified at each feed. We use this to publish results of old football games and draw attention to upcoming football games.

If you specify a “Specific Date” this date is static. We want to represent the events of the past five days and the next ten days on our website:

Retrieve Events From: Today – 432000 (seconds)
Retrieve Events Until: Today + 864000

This functionality I have not found in GCal Events version 2.0.1. Are there plans to implement this feature again? Many Thanks

    Nick,

What we need is to be able to specify “Retrieve Events Until” through an amount of time (like “7 days”) that will be added to the “Retrieve Events From” setting. So a relative date with respect to the from date, rather than an absolute date in time.

In v0.7 you could specify an additional offset from a chosen start/stop point. By setting the start and stop point to “00:00 today” and setting the offset on the start point to 0 and on the stop point to 604800, you could specify a time frame of 7 days from today. I no longer see that option in v2.0.

On version 0.7.3.1, I could specify (for, say, a weekly list of events): to start at the “Start of current week” plus 0, and to end at “Start of current week” plus 604800. In version 2.0.1, I only see the start at the “Start of current week” and end at “Start of current week”. There seems no place to enter the +604800?

Thank you for the screenshot that made this much more clear to me. I will have to see what we can do about this before I give you a full answer, but I will do my best to let you know as soon as I can.

    Thank you again.

    @nick Young
No, I haven;t tried that because setting a specific date wouldn’t suit unless I was to go in to the settings on a daily basis to change them, which isn’t an option. I need something like Jimcintosh was talking about so that it automatically knows I want to see today’s activities or tomorrows activities rather than a specific date

Gotcha, I think I misunderstood at first, but now I fully understand what you are looking for. I will update you guys as soon as I can.

    Thanks for your patience.

I too need to have the ability to specify a range of dates. I had one display which was just events from Today to Today plus 24 hours. I had another which displayed stuff starting tomorrow for the next seven days. Please put this feature back.

We have added something similar to this back for list views. Check it out in the 2.0.4 release.

    Thanks!
