Up and Running in a Week

I had no experience with WordPress before I started my project.
I found a webhost, setup WordPress and installed the SportsPress plugin and Rookie theme in one evening. Within a week, I had a fully functional and professional website for our new hockey league. Setting up the structure of the website was intuitive. Most of the time was spent keying in team and player information. I did encounter some issues, but with a little bit of experimentation and checking online support forums, I got everything sorted out.
(1) I was able to easily create a website that at first only existed in my mind without having to communicate with a designer about tweaking every little detail which would have been very time consuming.(designer might have not been able to understand what exactly I needed for a league website).
(2) I have received many comments on how professional the website looks.
(3) I saved a ton of money compared to the other options for making a league website with games, statistics etc.
