Unwanted Watermark, altered color to images & more

I recently updated to version 4.2.2 & have had several issues with the update & how my site looks.

1) I have noticed that images posted to my site are desaturated and have a watermark that I didn’t place on them. I’m a photographer so it’s important that my images look like they are supposed. The watermark that is on them is just plain ugly–if I wanted a watermark, I would have put my own custom one in the actual image file… I’ve tried to troubleshoot by deactivating/deleting plugins that I thought were the issue. I have only one image protection plugin: WP Content Copy Protection Pro & there isn’t a setting to install a watermark with it, so I’m a little perplexed as to what happened.

2) Posts that once appeared on the bottom of my home page no longer appear there. I can see the posts in the back side of the website, but they no longer posts to the front end & I haven’t been able to figure out which step I am missing to bring them back.
