Unwanted users

  • In my WordPress page are registered unwanted users.
    Options -> General’s box: “Anyone can register” is unchecked.
    The default Prefiled is Subscriber.
    Everything so new users registered and displayed in the profile box sets: None.
    The emails are usually used for recording .ru

    Does anyone know how they can be recorded?

  • yeah right, even if we unchecked that “anyone can register”, still everybody CAN! i also dont understand it. how about the others??? please tell us also.. and how to really avoid it.

    If you uncheck that option, then NO ONE can register. That’s how it works.

    There ARE plugins to stop people from certain emails registering (see Ban Hammer). You can also use Cookies for Comments, Bad Behavior and Akismet to keep them out.

    Works with standard WordPress, WordPress MU, WordPress Multisite and BuddyPress.

    You’ll need an API key but is free for personal use.
