• Hi,

I use the Astra theme on my website. The problem is that I have a lot of 404 URLs like this on my website:

    mywebsite.com/cat1/art1/comment-123

In fact, the URL should be like this:

    mywebsite.com/cat1/art1/#comment-123

Could this problem be caused by the Astra theme?

I don’t know how these URLs are generated, but when I inspect the theme with the Search Console inspect tool, the referring page is as follows:

    mywebsite.com/cat1/art1/

However, when I inspect mywebsite.com/cat1/art1/ on Chrome, the mywebsite.com/cat1/art1/comment-123 URL is not in the source code.

Can the Astra theme be causing this issue? Unfortunately, I can’t change the theme to test if this issue is related to Astra or not.

  • Hi @saraeee,

I am sure Astra doesn’t cause this. In fact, I don’t think this is theme-related.

    You said

The problem is that I have a lot of 404 URLs like this on my website

    Then you said

However, when I inspect mywebsite.com/cat1/art1/ on Chrome, the mywebsite.com/cat1/art1/comment-123 URL is not in the source code.

How do you know you have lots of 404 URLs? SEO tool?

I look forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??
