Unwanted spaces & text beside image not below

Hi everyone,

I apologize as I know there seems to be many posts about it, which I have read, but I’ve only started using WP since yesterday, so it might as well be in Latin.

I can’t figure out why
a) there is so much space between some of my text or images.
Oh and maybe someone can answer this…. I noticed that when I add an image I can’t seem to click under it to then add text. I have to hit ‘return’ to then get past it. I’m not sure, but I think this may be part of the problem with the space issue as then it creates all of these ” ” but if i delete them, then the text appears beside the picture and not below it. Hence my b) question.

b) why some of the text which should go below the images, are beside them instead. I even tried to copy the code surrounding the text from a part of the page that was working properly, but that didn’t seem to do anything.
