    Hi,

    When activating debug there’s a space at the top of admin before the wrapper.
    It disappears with debug set to false;

    Here’s a screenshot : https://ibb.co/PcPjcSX

    Versions used :

    Wordpress 5.9
    WordFence 7.5.8

    Any other plugin was deactivated.

    Thank you,

    Stefan

    Hi @stefankruger, thanks for your report of a potential display bug.

    Could I also please ask which browser you were using and whether the problem persists in incognito/private OR a different browser to your default?

    When you talk about activating debug, is that “Enable debugging mode (increases database load)” as seen on <the strong>Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics page?

    Thanks,

    Peter.

    Hi Peter,

    Thanks for your answer.

    The browser used is Firefox Developper.

    Debug mode is the main wordpress option which was activated through wp-config with the defined constant ‘WP_DEBUG’ set to true and WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY also set to true.

    I’ve just set up right now the debug log file and here’s what i get :

    Error reading Wordfence Firewall config data, configuration file could be corrupted or inaccessible. Path: WORDPRESS_INSTALL_PATH/wp-content/wflogs/config.php

    I’ve just tried right now to deactivate, then remove the plugin and reinstall it and have the same error in debug log.

    THe start of the said config.php file is :

    <?php exit(‘Access denied’); __halt_compiler(); ?>

    Thanks again for your fast response.

    Stefan.

    Peter,

    I’ve tested uninstalling, removinfg the plugin and then removing the wflogs folder and then reinstalling the plugin and the problem doesn’t occur.

    Could it be possible for you to add the deletion of the wflogs folder on plugin removal ?

    Thank you,

    Stefan.

    Having “Delete Wordfence tables and data on deactivation” checked in Wordfence > All Options when deactivating/removing Wordfence should perform this function.

    If the plugin has already been removed, the Wordfence Assistant plugin should allow you to perform removal of anything left behind.
