• Hi guys, I believe your plugin is creating an unwanted RSS feed for my site, which is highly problematic, as it’s coming up at the URL of the page I’m trying to create on my website to support my podcast, which is pending approval from iTunes. https://thenewfamily.com/podcast This prompts me to subscribe to a video podcast I don’t own. When I went to the post containing the one video showing up here, the video was appearing with your logo in the back-end. I’ve removed that video, but still can’t make a new page called thenewfamily.com/podcast without wordpress changing it to thenewfamily.com/podcast-2. I really can’t have this as I’ve already recorded all kinds of episodes using thenewfamily.com/podcast as the call to action. Please help! Thank you very much.

Try deactivating PowerPress and then see if you can rename the page slug you want to just “podcast” instead of “podcast-2.” Then, reactivate PowerPress.

This page should explain what you can do, as well as explain the problem.

    https://create.blubrry.com/resources/powerpress/advanced-tools-and-options/disabling-powerpress/

We are working on features for PowerPress 7.0 to address this as well as category podcasting issues that are related (category named podcast). This new option would solve your problem as well, though you would need to call your podcast feed something other than “podcast” since you want to call a page “podcast”.

Thanks for the explanation on this. I’ve been scratching my head and digging through the db all night trying to figure out why I couldn’t have a “podcast” permalink.
