    Dear reader,

For one of our websites of customers we use WooCommerce. For some days now we have been running into the following problem:

Currently, all ‘product’ pages of a course are redirected to the relevant ‘course’ page.

    E.g.: Product/trailerladen/ gets a 301-direct to /Cursus/trailerladen
(For more information: https://www.e-quine.com/cursus/trailerladen/ and click on the button or link at the bottom of the page).

There are no separate redirects set and the plugin is up to date. So we are very curious to see how we can solve this.

    Thank you in advance.

  • Did you check for and delete any relevant old slugs.

has an Old slugs tool in its “Email & Misc” section.

    Hi Lorro,

Yes, I did. We did nothing changed in our URL / slugs. I hope someone has a solution for this issue soon!

Presumably you have resaved Permalinks – twice.

Presumably you have checked for any redirects in any redirect plugin you may have.

    We’ve done old slugs.

The only other place I can think of where redirects could be setup is in .htaccess (for Apache systems) or web.config (for Windows systems). Have you had a look there?

If you don’t understand what you are looking at in .htaccess, just rename it to take it out of play. Resave permalinks twice. This will make a fresh .htaccess.

If you have a security plugin, WordFence whatever, that may need its settings resaving to remake its contributions to .htaccess.

If you still have the problem at this point, deactivate all plugins except WC, and switch to the default theme and test. Should work now? Reactivate one-by-one and check to try to identify what’s causing it.
