After I updated Astra theme to 4.1.18 all the new pages have unnecessary margins on top and at the bottom of the pages. It is impossible to remove them trough standard Appearance – Settings menu.

Take a look at this page: https://astra.vashdomen.tk/pro-nas/

It has been created prior to the update. There’s no white margin around main site container.

Now look at this one: https://astra.vashdomen.tk/warranty/

It has been created after the update. The margin is there on all sides. All the content and the layout are exactly the same, however the difference is there and you should be able to see it.

Layout settings of the first page: https://prnt.sc/7EiwshaNKsua

Layout settings of the second page: https://prnt.sc/QokOhFe8_UB-

It seems to me that you changed the styles of your layouts which applies only to the new pages. I tried different layouts in hope it will fix the problem but no matter what the margins are always there. Just sometimes from all sides and sometimes only on top and at the bottom of the main container.

Can you fix it? Because there shouldn’t be a margin if I did not specifically put it there myself.

I was in the process of making an online course on how to build a similar website using your theme. Now I might consider using Kadence instead because with these margins Astra becomes unusable as no one would want that on his website.

  • Hi @antontkachev,

Please add the snippet available in this doc to your site. It should do the trick.

Please let us know how you go.

    Kind regards,
    Herman ??

@bsfherman The snippet worked, thank you. But it is not the solution I am looking for.

Look, here’s the css that causes the problem: https://prnt.sc/JzBigANJqom3

It is present on all of the pages that are created AFTER updating to Astra 4.1.18.

And here’s another page that was created BEFORE updating to Astra 4.1.18. It doesn’t have the same CSS: https://prnt.sc/vslAaZ9cNUif

You see it was working fine before without any snippets. Can you make it work without snippets again? What we are talking about here is some basic functionality — full-width container.

But if I choose “Regular” layout which is not full-width the container becomes full width. But there’s still margin at the top and the bottom of the page.

This issue has been resolved in Astra 4.3.0 update. The support replied in a timely manner in the ticket I submitted through Brainstorm Force’s official website. I am glad ??

Thank you for the update, @antontkachev. Very pleased to hear that!

Feel free to start a new thread if there is anything else related to Astra, we can help you with.

Could you please post the solution to this problem? I am trying to remove the blank space at the top of the page and don’t know which setting disables it. Thank you.

@mikblik Just make sure you use the latests version of Astra and try different Layout options in Customizer. They can be found there either “Global – Container” section or in “Page”. Also, they can be changed in block editor of a particular page.
