It appears you’ve applied the class “entry title” to the contents of your post. See https://pix.toile-libre.org/upload/original/1470844268.png

I have no idea what you are talking about, since I don’t work in CSS, and have never heard of an “entry title”. Someone or something may have applied it to the contents of my post, but not with my consent. If I specify non-bold “paragraph” and can’t get a non-bold paragraph style, it’s a bug in WordPress that needs to be fixed. It’s not my job or intention to fix them. Every time this happens on one of my pages or posts, I’m going to append a note stating that this is a WordPress problem not of my making, for which a fix has not been forthcoming.

Wow… I’m telling you what I see when I look at your site.

You might try removing all formatting from the content in the post (the eraser icon) then doing at again.

    “Eraser” works.

Thank you. Now that helped. It got rid of all the unwanted formatting. I had never noticed nor used the “eraser” before; it was never needed until now. I’m sorry, but the PNG image you sent me is incomprehensible – I can’t even tell if it’s from my site. It would appear that Occam’s razor works for answers, too.

I’ve been both writing online and loading text from MS Word XP for Small Business. Usually .doc and .rtf files. It’s possible that Word added something – I don’t remember which text came from which source. But no matter where it came from, I still think it’s a frustrating bug in the WYSISYG user interface when the editor shows one format and the post or page shows another.

WordPress is as large in code as any Microsoft package. As users of Word can attest, it’s real easy to keep adding “features” without fixing the old bugs. Since I now have a workaround, I’ll mark this as “resolved”, but is it?
