    Hi,

For some reason, an Easy-Mailchimp form I wish to use on a particular page is generating a lot of unnecessary space between its fields.

Please look under the ‘Receive E-mail Updates’ tab on this page’s sidebar – https://highereg.com/member-list/daath-origins/ – here lies the issue as on inspecting the form’s source, you’ll find a lot of unnecessary <p> and <br> tags that seem to be inserting themselves out of nowhere.

However if you look under the ‘Receive E-mail Updates’ tab on another, similar page from the same website – https://highereg.com/member-list/will-phillips/ – the form looks different and seems to pose no issue.

Could the team please provide me with a solution as to what’s causing the unnecessary <p> and <br> tags to appear in the first URL? Thank you.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Never Mind!

I was using a Text field and inserting the form’s shortcode within it; using the Easy-Mailchimp widget directly on the sidebar solved the issue.

    Thanks regardless!

    Hi @seanb793,

I’m not sure why using the shortcode in a standard text field does that but it’s a known issue. Regardless, glad it’s working for you now!

    Cheers,
    Kevin.
