• We run H5P on an internal site that cannot be accessed from outside, so I can’t give you a link.

I created a VTT file according to the instructions and uploaded it to a video.

No subtitle selection appears in the finished lesson.

The video looks like it always does, like there are no subtitles.

I’ve already checked the VTT, it’s OK.

    Could anyone help me, please?

We urgently need this for accessibility.

    Many thanks in advance!

Any errors in the browser console? (Ctrl+Shift+J in Chrome)

Oh, yes: “Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)”
The VTT file is also in the content folder, I checked that.

Thanks for the first answer! Maybe you have an idea what the problem could be.

Are you able to open URL to the VTT file directly in the browser? It sounds like there may be some web server configuration preventing the file from loading in the browser

No, that doesn’t work, here comes the error:

404 – File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for may have been removed, renamed, or is temporarily unavailable.

The server is operated in-house. Is there a way to set something there?

Could it be that the error occurs when the MIME type for VTT files is not in the .htaccess? Then I would have to ask our in-house IT department whether they could check it.
