I downloaded and activated antispam bee a couple of days ago, the last days i have still received 4-5 spam mails daily.

i have used the preset settings.

the emails are classic spam like this:

    Fra: Natasha Janpe
    Emne: Important
We’ve developed a strategy focused on the Ecom stores only, where you can maximize sales with FREE traffic. Check this YouTube video we’ve recorde

    ….and so on.

I used akismet free for some time and received no emails like this. but i sometimes sell on my site and i am broke, so i cannot afford the pro sub at the moment. is there nothing i can do?

I just unchecked the Trust approved commenters, maybe that will help. Do you have any other tips or do i just have to live with daily spam?

    Hi @nellik22

on the mentioned page there are only two posts and besides there is text white on white there is also no comment form available at all.

I would like to help and have a look, but if there are no open comments …

    All the best

    Hello,

I don’t quite understand: i think most of the spam arrives thorugh my contact form on https://www.inevik.no/contact

Sometimes i also get comments, but i actually dont know how, because i dont’t think there is a comment section anywhere? it is a webpage and not a blog.

i got a little fewer spam e-mails than usual today when i disabled the trust approved commenters though!

Antispam Bee doesn’t protect any contact forms. It just protects the comment form. First FAQ entry ??

For Contact Form 7 there are several antispam plugins available:

If you don’t use comments at all, you can try to disable them completely (either in the discussion settings or via plugin), hopefully this prevents any more comments. As the setting is only for future posts, you need to check the old one (and beware: every media has an attachment page on which can also maybe comment).
