Unsupported operand types in Browscap.php

I have update the Browscap.php file now.

I am not sure what exactly happened at around 3am EST but since then my error log is full of “/wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/includes/classes/Browscap.php” on lines 354 and 355.

The site was down.

After manually deleting wp-statistics folder site is up again.

Edit:
Using dashboard and reinstalling the wp-statistics plugin the site goes down.

i still got the error after updating the file:

here also my error log is filled with this:

My website, frontend and backend was down for a day because of this failure. Please send out a fix soon!

I’m not able to reproduce the issue so I need some help getting some additional data.

I need someone to do the following:

– Disable browscap for a few hours.
– Enable “Store entire user agent string”.
– wait a while.
– Export the wp_statistics_visitor table data for the last few hours and send it to me via the contacts form on wp-stasitics.com.
– Enable/Disable the above settings again.

How long should i wait before i send it? should i have the error in the error log before i should send it?

You won’t see the error after you disable browscap, take a look at your logs now, if your seeing the error every 15 minutes of so, wait 30 minutes to make sure you get a request.

Its a bit of a guessing game on how long to wait unfortunately.

I would love to help you but my problem is like of HJvD. After installing plugin via dashboard both, dashboard and website are down.

I can move plugin folder so this is how I was able to recover.
I can move the plugin folder back in to a production but before that I need instructions how to enable/disable whatever you would like by either editing some config files or changing setting records in db.

@pressthewords: Do you have access to phpMyAdmin? If so, go to your wp_options table and search for an option named wp_statistics.

Edit the option, it’s long and complex but in it will be the following string:

s:8:"browscap";s:2:"on";

change it to:

s:8:"browscap";s:0:"";

Then re-activate WP Statistics.

Did it.

The plugin page states: “The following features are disabled, please go to settings page and enable them: online user tracking,hit tracking,visitor tracking,geoip collection”

What would you like me to do next?

There is no stats displaying on the plugin page. Normal?

@pressthewords: Go and re-enable the options listed (make sure you DONT enable browscap again), then following the instructions above to collect the data.

Not sure where is check box for “geoip collection”
Edit: Fount it under Externals. Now the stats page looks like before.

But stats details are back.
And the front and back end of the site are still up.

i have send you the file. i dont know it this is enough. i have not turn on Browscap.php yet. Let me know when i can turn this back on and disable Store entire user agent string
