Hey Jonah, Apologies for the delay in response.
We’ve received your information on the form and attempted to look it up in our back-end system and were unable to. To help move forward could you enable Remote Diagnostics found within the Mailchimp for Woocommerce plugin under the Settings tab.
By design the Mailchimp plugin syncs automatically there isn’t a manual process involved.
The plugin would only sync either on initial sync or every time an order update is created or customer/user profile, order, product, discount code is updated. When that occurs a sync is triggered to send that data back to Mailchimp.
In regards to the unarchiving behaviour, I ran the following test.
- Unsubscribe a MailChimp contact that is also a customer with a WP user account
- Verified that the WP user account shows as unsubscribed
- Archived this contact in Mailchimp
- Performed a profile update to the wp user account
- Performed a full store resync as an additional test
- The Contact in MailChimp remained subscribed .
Could you outline in steps such as these exactly how the issue is encountered in your store?
It’s quite possible that a 3rd party plugin could be at play causing the issues. To zero in on what might be the cause we recommend if possible deactivating those plugins temporarily while troubleshooting.
