    about this ,
    “Registered Subscribers have data stored in the user and usermeta tables. The easiest way to unsubscribe them is in the Bulk Management sedction at the bottom of the Subscribe2->Subscribers page in the Registered Subscribers tab and Unsubscribe users from all categories.”

    I tried to unsubscribe member , the system show me success, but when I search the same member , it still there , I mean we are not really unsubscribe or delete member , how could I do?

    I just have to delete some member who type email address like this xxxx.cim , or always but type alwys, so the server will be can’t find host , it will send error message mail for we… like this message below
    “<[email protected]>: Host or domain name not found. Name service error for
    name=alwys.co.jp type=AAAA: Host not found”

    we can’t delete all the plugin but have to make this problem solve.
    very thanks for your share and help! good luck for you!

    It seems you are asking about two different actions: unsubscribe and delete.

    Limiting the discussion to only Registered Users / Subscribers as shown in the ‘Registered Subscribers’ tab of the Subscribe2->Subscribers page.

    If you wish to Unsubscribe a single email from notifications, click edit below the email address and in the next page that opens you can adjust the subscription preferences. This retains the account in WordPress and just updates the notification settings.

    If you wish to Unsubscribe a multiple emails from notifications, select checkboxes next to the required email address, then use the Bulk Management section at the bottom of the same page to adjust the subscription preferences. This retains the account in WordPress and just updates the notification settings.

    If you wish to Delete single or multiple emails from your WordPress system – removing both the subscriptions settings and the user account, select checkboxes next to the required email address then choose Delete in the Bulk Actions drop down and then click the Apply button.

    Yeah, I really did this flow ~

    Delete single email from my WordPress system – removing both the subscriptions settings and the user account, select checkboxes next to the required email address then choose Delete in the Bulk Actions drop down (both 2 drop down options) and then click the Apply button.

    It would show delete success message, but users are not reduction anyone, and if I search the user I deleted, it still there.

    The email is this ” [email protected] ” .

    @ezonelai

    Have you tried deleting this user in the main WordPress menus at Users > All Users? Again check the user and select Delete from the Bulk Actions drop down and then click ‘Apply’.

    If that does work then there may be an issue in the Subscribe2 code – if it does not then it may be a permissions issue in your database.

    The users in my WordPress “menus users” only have 16 account are my coworkers.

    And we have 892 members in the Subscribe2 plugin, I think that is different thing we thought.

    Maybe is the issue of database authority but I can’t check.

    How can I do now?

    @ezonelai

    In the Subscribe2 -> Subscribers menu there are 2 tabs – one is for Public Subscribers and the other for registered Subscribers. If you have 16 user accounts then in the Registered User Tab, the the drop down it should have ‘All Regsitered Users (16)’ – is that correct?

    Then in the Public Subscribers Tab are the 800+ Public Subscribers?

    Thread Starter ezonelai

    (@ezonelai)

    yes, right.
    We can not delete the Public Subscribers .
    Is the PHP or WordPress version are the reason of this problem?

    I am having the same problem that ezonelai is.
    I was contacted by one of my website’s subscribers, saying they had tried to unsubscribe themselves, but were continuing to receive emails from my site.

    I looked up the email address and found it in subscribe2 under “Public Subscribers”
    From there I checked the checkbox next to the email address I want to remove, then, in the “Bulk actions” drop down I selected “delete” and then click the “Apply” button. I then get a pop up that says “You are about to delete a public subscriber. Are you sure?”, to which I click “OK’.
    It would appear at first that the email address was deleted from the Public Subscriber database, but just to confirm that the email address has been removed I search for the same email address again, and each time the email address continues to show up in my public subscribers list.

    Is there a known conflict that is preventing me from making changes to my Public Subscribers list?

    @sagekramer

    I’m not aware of any conflicts on this, and have not been able to reproduce this issue. You could try my latest development code here and see if that helps:
