Unsubscribe Field in Contact Form 7 Form

    Hi,

    I’m trying to create an unsubscribe form within a contact form 7 form but it doesn’t want to play ball!

    Reading your support docs, I should be able to add to the form:

    <input type="hidden" name="_mc4wp_action" value="unsubscribe" />

    …and it will unsubscribe user on the Mailchimp list. I’ve even ticked ‘Update existing subscribers’ to ‘Yes’ but still no joy.

    Any thoughts, or does this not work with Contact Form 7 and only on forms created within MC4WP itself?

    Hey @maclemming,

    Thanks for reaching out to us.

    I regret to say this code will only work with forms created using our plugin. It won’t work with CF7 or other 3rd party forms.

    I’ll make a note and see if this is something we can work on.
