I have a question. Since today I am getting an error message in my contact form 7 configuration. It indicates that I am using an unsafe email tag. I should protect this with a spam filter. I was convinced that you also secured contact form 7. Is this correct ?

To protect your contact forms from this risk, activating spam protection modules is strongly recommended. Since the likeliest and most worrisome attack scenario is bulk email being sent by spambots, deployment of?reCAPTCHA—which is optimized to block automated bot attacks—is a must. Ideally, you should consider using?Akismet?in combination with reCAPTCHA.

Does anyone know how to solve this? I can’t use another tag. It concerns the reply form, so my customers enter their e-mail address there.

    Thank you in advance

    Hello.

This field is used for ‘Mail (2)’ option which is additional: https://contactform7.com/setting-up-mail/#mail-2

‘It is often used as an autoresponder, but you can use it for any purpose. Mail (2) is sent only when the primary Mail has been sent successfully.’

This email will be sent only if the first email notification is sent to the admin inbox about successful web form submission. But if our Anti-Spam plugin blocks a form submission there will be no email notification to admin and there will be no second autoresponder email.

I also suggest you contacting Contact form 7 support and ask them your question.
