• (This review has been edited to be less about WPML, which I have additional gripes with.)

I bought WPML mainly to use this plugin and they are made by the same company, so in my mind the bad experience I’ve had of using them as a package reflects badly on both. It’s also hard for me to know where line goes between what plugin does what, but what I can say is that the translation of WooCommerce on-screen and email messages is all over the place. After working with WPML’s support for two frustrating months I thought this was solved, but now it’s breaking again. It also took me a month of back and forth with support to figure out that WooCommerce Multilingual doesn’t support the specific way my site is set up, even though everything is perfectly valid from a WooCommerce perspective.

My recommendation would be trying a different translation package.

  • @simooo you left a review for WooCommerce Multilingual here.

WooCommerce Multilingual is a FREE plugin that requires WPML to function and is developed by the same company as WPML.

To be clear – do yu have specific difficulties with WooCommerce Multilingual?

    Hi there,

I think I was looking for a way of reviewing primarily WPML and ended up reviewing this plugin instead. To be fair, I’ve had problems with both as a package – and like you say both are made by the same company.

Is there actually a way of reviewing WPML? It doesn’t seem to show up in the search results. I’m happy to update this review to deal specifically with WooCommerce Multilingual.

    Cheers,

    Simon

Speaking of fairness, if you feel differently about WooCommerce Multilingual, I think you should at least be able to update the rating here. ??

Your experience with WPML is equally important, however. Let me know what is your username on the WPML support forum and I’ll try to see if there’s anything I can help with about your tickets.

    Cheers!

Unfortunately my experience of using the two as a package has been very bad and I stand by my rating.

I’ve updated my review to be more specific, but it’s very hard for me to know what plugin is responsible for what part since I can’t use WooCommerce Multilingual without WPML.

Hoping for future improvements in both reliability and documentation.

My current issue is that the translation of WooCommerce messages and emails are all over the place and sometimes appear in the wrong language.

The support ticket is here – of course I would greatly appreciate if it’s possible to speed the process up.
