unreferenced images means?

  • Hiya

    Simple question really, when you say “unreferenced images” do you mean images that are in upload folder that are no longer in database, not used by site at all?

    When I look at unreferenced images it seem a bit much for what I have said above, if true, does it also make reference to images in a another category or are they all just stray images not part of site?

    My only goal is to find images that are not in database but are not part of site, but in the upload folder and should not be there.

    Can someone explain the definitions for all the categories (cats below)? I just need clarification as to what they mean before deleting files.

    Valid Attachment Meta
    Backup Images
    Unreferenced Unused Images
    Obsolete Referenced Images
    Invalid Attachment Meta

    Nobody knows, and I don’t htink it’s correct. I have 5000 files in my upload folder, and it’s found 10000 Unreferenced Unused Images
