As part of my menu, I have “Account” as a parent item and then one of the sub-items is “Messages”, which shows the number of unread messages like:

    Messages (1)

Can something be added to the “Account” item to indicate that one of the sub-menu items has something of interest? The user wouldn’t see that they had unread messages until they opened that menu.

    Hi hshah,

There’s nothing built in to let you do that sorry. It would require (a lot of) custom coding, which is something you might need to get a freelancer to help you with.

I managed to do this sort of thing instead:
    [video src="https://hirenshah.co.uk/notifications.mp4" /]

    In that menu, I have:
    Messages (x)

And if (x) is 1 or greater, it flashes too ??

    Hi hshah,

The video link isn’t working unfortunately, but I am glad to hear that you came up with a solution ??

Apologies, there wasn’t meant to be an S at the end of the filename:
