• Hello,

I am having difficulty accessing the /wp-admin page of my site, as it is not redirecting me to the login form, but instead staying on the home page. This issue is also affecting all other pages and links in the menu, as they too are not redirecting to their respective pages, but rather staying on the home page.

Additionally, I am receiving the following error message on my site: “Warning: Undefined array key ‘action’ in /data/web/virtuals/273161/virtual/www/domains/ferienhofraetzsee.com/wp-content/themes/astra/functions.php on line 2.”

    Thanks for any help.

  • Hello @rakosnicekcz

The error message above suggests that there is an undefined array key "action" in the “functions.php” file of the Astra theme that is causing the issue.

Can you check if you’re using the most recent version of Astra theme?

It’s always a best practice to keep your WordPress plugins/themes updated for security and best functionality. Make sure you have the latest version of Astra theme installed and see if it makes any difference when accessing your website links and wp-admin page.

    Hello @obt28,

Thank you for your previous suggestion to update the Astra theme to the latest version. I have updated from version 3.3.0 to version 4.1.3 using FTP. Unfortunately, this seems to have caused an issue with my site’s menu, as it appears to be broken now.

Additionally, I have noticed that the error message still persists, however, the new functions.php file does not contain any reference to “action” (only comments).

Despite updating the theme, I still cannot access the /wp-admin page or any other pages on my site. Do you have any further suggestions or ideas on how to resolve this issue?

    Hello @rakosnicekcz

The Astra themefunctions.php file. The error message is indicating that there is an undefined array key “action” on line 2 of the file.

To resolve this error, you will need to review the code on that line and ensure that the array key "action" is properly defined. It’s possible that there is a typo or missing syntax in the code that is causing the error. Usually updating the theme should fix the issue. If you still see the error after flushing the site cache after updating the theme you might want to reach out to the Astra theme support for help.

For the wp-admin which is not accessible, please clone the site and check for plugin conflict. You can deactivate all plugins on the site to see if the issue is still there then re-enable them one after the other to find the culprit plugin.

    Hello @obt28,

I have disabled all plugins by renaming the plugins folder in wp-content to “plugins.disabled”. Due to some unknown reason, the latest version of Astra did not fix the problem, so I renamed it to “bastra2” and kept the old version as “bastra3”. However, this has completely broken the appearance of my website, but unfortunately, the error message still persists.

I am unable to understand why the error message is still appearing since there is no “content/themes/astra” folder. Furthermore, the cache folder only contains the .htaccess file.

Could you please provide me with any further recommendations or solutions to this issue?

    @rakosnicekcz

I can no longer see the error messages on the site you can confirm it from here.

You might still be seeing the error message as your browser is still serving the cached version of the old site that has errors.

Please try accessing the site from another browser or incognito mode to see if you can see the updated site. You might also want to clear the cache of your browser as well.

    Best,
