Unpublished option?

Next to the ‘Published’ Status, you should see ‘edit’. Click on it and you will be able to change the status of your post.

I unpublished an item earlier today but when I did a Google search, the unpublished item showed up. When I clicked on the link provided in the Google search, the item is there although it can not be accessed through the site. It doesn’t show on the front page nor does it show on the recent posts in the sidebar.

The item was first published and then was changed to an unpublished state because of an issue over the post content. Even though I can’t access this unpublished post through the blog site, someone with the URL can still access it.

Is this unusual?

Never mind. I just realized that the unpublished post can be viewed when I am logged in as admin. Otherwise it is not viewable. I hope this helps someone else that encounters the same thing.
