The amount of spam this plugin generates is annoying. Almost every time I go in to administrate my site, Yoast is asking me to upgrade to pro or do a review.
This one-star review was posted only because I am fed up. Having to read the occasional irrelevant notification isn’t a problem. However, the number of irrelevant notifications that this plugin generates in total is taking time away from my primary job of website administration.
My plan is to uninstall it on my next dev cycle and find a better solution.

    Hi @rsk203,

    Thanks for your comment.

We only display ads in a small sidebar on the plugin setting pages in the backend of your website. Also, when you delete a post, Yoast SEO shows a notification suggesting you create a redirect to avoid a 404 error on the deleted URL.

These ads shouldn’t prevent you from using the plugin normally. That being said, we understand you’d like them to not appear in the backend. There’s a feature request in our plugin repository to add an option to disable the redirect notification. You can follow the request here: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/11922

It sucks! Look how rudely they replied here https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/11520

    Hi @politicske,

Thanks for your comment. Right now the only way to deactivate ads in the Yoast SEO plugin is to modify the plugin code (or use Yoast SEO Premium). We understand that you don’t like this solution. As said above, there’s a feature request to add an option to disable the redirect notice our plugin shows when a post is deleted. If you want to comment or contribute to the feature request, feel free to do so on this link.

@monbauza stop sending me on a wild goose chase. That ticket was closed and it shows yoast just told all of its users who hate being spammed to go f** themselves.
