Unlimited Pictures in Media Library

  • Hello. So I’m doing to maintenance for a company and their site.

    The loading time on the site is super slow and when I was looking through it I discovered this super weird thing that the Media Library has unlimited pictures of one single picture inside. (I don’t know if it’s actually unlimited but I never got to the bottom by scrolling for about 10 min.)

    Anyway, to show you what I mean I’ve done this short video clip of the issue.

    The pictures have different upload dates but are identical otherwise.
    If anyone knows what the heck this could be and how to resolve it I would be really happy to get the solution.

  • Hi Alteredsoul, really weird indeed. I don’t know of a solution, but you could try switch to list view of the images. That might make it easier to bulk handle/delete them.
    Or maybe you could remove all those images via FTP from the server. That might make it easier/quicker to delete the entries from the dashboard.

    Thanks for your answer.

    It seems like the picture is being duplicated every other minute or so. Could this be why the site is unbelievably slow?
