Unknown & unexplained spontainously issues

    I am running a WP MS latest version. Current one site up and running without any problems. However since today some issues appeared which if I think are all related. However to me the are completely new given the fact nothing has changed on server level or WP level.

    First issue: it is impossible to add any images anymore, to any type of post. In wp-admin, by any user. An error appears: “Error with uploading the file. Please try again.” All files rights are how the should be again, the day before all worked flawless.

    Second issue: I cannot add any plugins. An error appears: “<!–testing main init–> <!–testing main init–> {“success”:true,”data”:{“delete”:”plugin”,”slug”:”akismet”,”plugin”:”akismet\/akismet.php”,”pluginName”:”Akismet Anti-Spam”}} failed.

    When the page is refreshed in the plugin overview the plugin is added. When activating it, same issues appears.

    This may be theme/plugin conflict, Try:
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – switching to the unedited default Theme (Twenty Seventeen, etc.) for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Alternately, if you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.
